Community DayThanks to all of the volunteers that particpated in our annual Community Day on April 13. We were able to complete quite a bit of work around North Hart. In addition, if you have not checked it out yet, we have added new sod around the K/1 hallay exit at the back of the school.

STEM Day at North Hart was a huge success. We would like to thanks Mrs. King for all of your orgnaization and planning in this great endeavor. A special thanks to Tenneco, Hart EMC, Tim Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Erion, and Mrs. Acosta for sharing their knowledge with our students. We look forward to learning more about STEM in the upcoming year.

School Choice and ESEA WaiverGeorgia applied and was granted a waiver from No Child Left Behind. The below documents provide more information about the waiver and the school choice flexibility that is allowed. NH ESEA-No School Designation Informational Letter 1 16 13.pdf NH ESEA Flexibility Waiver Parent Notification No School Designation Template.pdf Accelerated Reader We are excited to be rewarding AR goals in a different manner than ever before. 4thand 5thgrades are reading for 1,000,000 words with 80% correct on the AR tests. Prizes are awarded at 250,000 words, 500,000 words, 750,000 words as well as 1,000,000 words. 2ndand 3rdgrades are prizes are awarded at the end of each quarter to students that have met their goals with an 80% average. When students meet weekly goals, their names are put in a box for a drawing for an additional prize.
